What is cusp used for?
The first thing to do, before determining the meaning of the term cusp, is to proceed to establish its etymological origin. In doing so we have to make it clear that it comes from Latin, more exactly from the word “cuspis”, which can be translated as “tip”.
The summit, therefore, can be the top or the summit of a mountain. For example: “After eight hours of efforts, the mountaineers reached the top and planted a flag”, “Looking at the snowy peak from the hotel room is very rewarding”, “The rescue team tries to reach the top to rescue the climbers”.
Those who are passionate about extreme sports and specifically climbing always set themselves the goal of reaching the peaks of the highest mountains in the world. Thus, for example, there are many expeditions of those that are carried out annually in all countries.
